Hi! I’m Maria!

I help people with the areas in life that are causing distress. I specialize in communication and conflict resolution. I love helping people find ways to bring clarity and connection in the place of confusion and hurt. I have experience helping people work through some of their most difficult times and I am here to help you too.

I know it can be overwhelming to choose a therapist and begin this journey. I have been practicing therapy for over a decade and there is not a lot I haven’t seen. I am happy to answer any questions that you may have.

Scheduling: You can contact me directly through phone, email, or the contact page on this website to schedule a free consultation phone call. When you decide to schedule an intake session, I will email documents through a secure portal for you to fill out before our first session. They take about 15-30 minutes to complete.

Place: I am located in The Lotus Center in Midtown Nashville. We have free garage parking, elevators, and wheelchair accessibility, (from the 5th floor of the parking garage, take the elevator to the 12th floor). If there is anything that may help you to navigate getting here in a less stressful way, please let me know and I will do everything I can to make this as comfortable as possible!

Fees: The standard fee for a 45/50 minute session is $195. Longer sessions are also available. Payments accepted are Debit Cards, Credit Cards, and HSA cards. I am not in network with any insurance company and do not interact with insurance companies. I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you would like to use your out of network benefits. A slide scale fee is available for those who qualify when there is space available as these spaces are limited. Please let me know if this would be helpful in making therapy accessible to you. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Specialty areas:

Neurodivergent/Neurodiverse couples - Neurodivergence requires additional levels of education and experience. I have professional and personal experience with neurodivergence and continue to learn more! These couples can include where one person is diagnosed or suspects a neurodivergence or when both partners are neurodivergent, (including but not limited to Autism and ADHD). There are additional layers to this kind of therapy. Neurodiverse couples are more complex and there are dynamics that will not be met with one primary form of therapy. I weave in multiple modalities to fit the specific needs of each couple.

Parenting - I have extensive experience working with children and families and utilize multiple models of child psychology depending on what is needed by the couple to bring parenting to a more doable and enjoyable place. Often couples fight over parenting because is it so important! We look at each family of origin and what we do and don't want to bring into our families moving forward. We look at how to do more of the things you want and how to let go of old patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you and your family.

Separation/Divorce - It can be hard to know what to do when you are already stressed and are trying to make what may seem like impossible decisions. You may be unsure if this is the right choice. If you do separate, you may not know when to tell the kids, how to tell the kids, what to do to make it easier when they are going back and forth and the flood of new worries and situations that may arise. I am here to help you navigate these challenges and build more peace into your life.

Life and Career Optimization - I love the idea of curating the life you want. What are your dreams? Is life the way you imagined it? Let’s talk about what is standing between you and the life that you will want to live every day. So often people stay stuck in places and relationships that are painful for them because they don’t know what else to do. I want to help you make the changes that will bring relief and fulfill your desires. I utilize personality, career, and other assessments to help you discover what brings you joy.
